Overview

AKP600 is a slat acoustic wall panel built on an E0-grade MDF core. The face is a linear wood slat profile and the back carries 12 mm polyester felt that absorbs mid and high frequency sound. Total thickness is 21 mm, so absorption comes without a deep batten wall. Standard sizes are 600 x 2400 mm and 600 x 2800 mm, with color and slat spacing to order.

Projects use AKP600 where a quiet room and a premium finish must arrive together: hotel guest rooms, meeting rooms, cinemas and feature walls. Because the felt is factory bonded, panels fix to a flat wall or batten grid with screws or adhesive and cut on site. Matching trims ship with the order, so finish, absorption and installation come from one supplier.

NRC 0.85 Absorption

The 12 mm polyester felt and the 9 mm slat gap break up reflected sound, cutting echo in meeting rooms, corridors and open offices.

21 mm Slim Build-Up

At 21 mm total, the panel keeps floor area and door reveals intact, so acoustic treatment fits refits that cannot spare 50 mm for battens.

E0 MDF Core

Installation

Check the wall is dry and flat within 3 mm over 2 m before any panel is fixed.

Snap a laser line and mark the slat direction so the grain runs continuously across joints.

Fix battens at 400 mm centers, or bond panels straight to sound plaster with adhesive.

Cut around sockets with a fine-tooth blade, fit matching trims, then wipe the felt clean.

Packing & Loading

Panels are wrapped in PE film and stacked face to face on plywood pallets with edge protection.
Every pallet is strapped and labeled with model, color code, quantity and production batch.
A 20 ft container loads about 350 m2 in 2800 mm length, depending on pallet height.

We photograph every container during loading and send the packing list before the vessel sails.

The AKP600 reaches NRC 0.85 in laboratory tests with the panel fixed to a solid wall and no air gap. Absorption drops on hollow or uneven substrates, so we recommend a batten grid behind the panel where maximum performance is required.

Yes. A fine-tooth circular saw cuts the MDF slats and felt cleanly. Panels can be bonded over sound plaster, or screw-fixed to a batten grid when the substrate is uneven or out of plumb.

Minimum order is 300 m2 per color. Standard colors ship in 15-20 working days after deposit; custom slat spacing or panel length needs sample approval first and then runs on the same schedule.

Yes. End trims, inside and outside corners and edge sealant come in the same finish, so the acoustic wall reads as one continuous surface at returns, columns and door reveals.
