Overview

BCW-WR is an 8 mm bamboo charcoal board with a flowing water ripple relief pressed into a sealed decorative film. The pattern is a shallow three-dimensional wave rather than a printed line, so the surface catches light differently as the viewer moves. Sheets measure 1220 x 2800 mm, and the relief can run along the short or the long edge.

The finish suits hotel lobbies and reception desks, retail brand backdrops, banquet rooms and ceiling bulkheads, where lighting is part of the design. The core is rigid and moisture resistant, panels fix with adhesive or concealed clips, and the sealed relief wipes clean with a damp cloth.

Installation

Confirm the relief direction on the shop drawing, then set the first panel from the wall centre.

Keep the protective film on while cutting; a fine-tooth blade leaves a clean edge on the embossed surface.

Fix with construction adhesive on a flat substrate, or use concealed clips where panels must be removable.

Line up the wave direction panel to panel, seal the joints, peel the film and wipe the surface clean.

Packing & Loading

Panels are separated by foam sheets and stacked face to face, with the relief protected by the factory film.
Pallets are steel-strapped and labeled with model, color, relief direction, quantity and batch number.
A 20 ft container holds about 300 m2 of 8 mm ripple board in 2800 mm length, depending on packing.

Loading & documents

We photograph every container during loading and send the packing list before the vessel sails.

Bamboo Charcoal Wood Veneer - Water Ripple — Product FAQ

The wave is embossed into the decorative film, so it has real depth of roughly 0.3-0.5 mm without cutting into the core. That keeps the panel light and flat, and avoids the open grain that traps dust in carved timber.

That is where it works best. Light grazing the relief creates a moving band of highlight and shadow. We recommend a mock-up panel under the actual fixture before the wall is fixed, because fixture spacing changes the effect.

Relief direction is set at production and marked on every panel. Installers align the wave line across joints so the wall reads as one surface. For long runs, order the full quantity in one batch to keep the tone identical.

The relief is sealed with a smooth top coat, so dust does not settle into open grain. A soft damp cloth worked along the wave direction is enough, and abrasive pads or solvent cleaners should be avoided.
