WPC Timber Tube CWT100

Hollow WPC Timber Tube for Ceiling Baffles & Screens

CWT100 is a hollow WPC timber tube in 100x50mm and 50x50mm sections, used for ceiling baffles, screens and column wraps. The hollow core keeps spans light while the wood-grain face gives the look of a solid timber batten.

Overview

CWT100 is a hollow timber tube extruded in WPC: standard sections are 100x50mm and 50x50mm, in lengths up to 2900mm. It is the product for suspended ceiling baffles, vertical screens, room dividers and slatted column wraps, where a timber batten look is wanted but solid timber would be too heavy, too costly or too moisture sensitive.

The hollow profile is the functional point. A 100x50mm tube spans further between supports than a solid batten of the same face size, keeps weight off the ceiling grid, and hides wiring or lighting cable inside the cavity. Tubes are pre-finished in a consistent color and can be cut, drilled and screwed with ordinary tools on site.

Product Features

Hollow core spans further

The cavity gives stiffness at low weight, so 100x50mm tubes need fewer suspension points on baffle ceilings.

Timber look without solid wood

A wood-grain composite face reads as a timber batten, without warping, splitting or annual refinishing.

Hides cables and lighting

Wiring for baffle lighting can run inside the tube cavity, keeping the visible ceiling face clean.

Site cut and drilled easily

Standard woodworking tools cut and drill the tube, so installers adapt lengths on site without special equipment.

Installation

Set out the baffle spacing on the slab and mark hanger positions in parallel rows.

Fix suspension hangers or brackets at 900mm centers along each tube run.

Clip or screw the tube onto the brackets, keeping spacing and alignment even.

Add end caps, check the baffle line by eye, and clean the tube faces.

Packing & Loading

  • 20 tubes per carton, 2905x210x210mm, roughly 20kg per carton.
  • Tubes are sleeved and strapped in bundles with end caps fitted.
  • About 2000 m2 per 20ft container and 4200 m2 per 40HQ.

Loading & documents

We photograph every container during loading and send the packing list before the vessel sails.

WPC Timber Tube CWT100 — Product FAQ

Most baffle ceilings use the 100x50mm tube, which reads clearly from below and spans well between hangers. Use 50x50mm where a finer rhythm or lighter visual weight is wanted in screens and small canopies.
Typical baffle spacing is 100mm to 200mm on center, which keeps the ceiling open for air movement while screening ductwork. Tighter spacing gives more visual mass, and we can quote tube quantities once you fix the spacing.
Yes. Low-voltage LED strip or linear fixtures can be mounted under the tubes, with cable run inside the hollow cavity. Tell us the fixture dimensions and we will confirm the section and cut-out detail before production.
For covered pergolas and canopies, yes. The composite resists moisture and rot, unlike solid timber. In fully exposed locations confirm the exposure with us, as long-term direct sun will gradually fade the surface color.
