Overview

BCW-SF is a bamboo charcoal board with a soft skin feel surface: roughly 3-6 gloss units, a fine velvet-like touch and no plastic sheen. The finish absorbs light rather than reflecting it, so long walls under downlights or LED strips stay even and glare free. Sheets measure 1220 x 2800 mm in 8 mm, with 5 mm and 9 mm cores for doors, headboards and ceilings.

The finish is specified for hotel guest rooms and suite joinery, bedroom wardrobes and headboard walls, boutique retail and home office walls. The surface resists fingerprints and light scuffs, cleans with a damp cloth and is never polished or waxed. Panels cut with standard woodworking tools, bond with construction adhesive and take standard edge banding.

Installation

Check the substrate is flat and dry; a matte face hides small defects but not hollows or uneven joints.

Cut with a fine-tooth blade and keep the film on, since light scuffs show more on a soft matte face.

Bond with construction adhesive at 300 mm bead centres, or clip panels when doors must be removable.

Press panels home, fit matching trims and edge banding, peel the film and wipe with a dry cloth.

Packing & Loading

Panels are film faced, separated by foam and stacked face to face on plywood pallets with corner boards.
Each pallet is labeled with model, color code, quantity, batch number and gloss level for site matching.
A 20 ft container holds about 320 m2 of 8 mm board in 2800 mm length, depending on pallet height.

Loading & documents

We photograph every container during loading and send the packing list before the vessel sails.

Bamboo Charcoal Wood Veneer - Skin Feel — Product FAQ

It describes a soft, dry matte finish of about 3-6 gloss units that feels like fine leather rather than plastic. Because it scatters light instead of reflecting it, walls under downlights show no glare band and no visible sheen.

Wipe with a damp cloth and a neutral cleaner, then dry with a soft cloth. Do not use scouring pads, wax or polish, because abrasives flatten the fine texture and leave shiny patches that catch the light.

Bedrooms, hotel guest rooms, wardrobes and studies, where low glare and a warm touch matter. It is fine in bathroom dry areas, but for shower enclosures and wet zones use tile or a dedicated wet area panel.

The texture hides light scuffs better than gloss or plain matte films, and small marks usually wipe off. Heavy trolley traffic can still leave a sheen on any matte surface, so we suggest wall protection in service corridors.
