Open-plan offices have two problems that decorative panels solve directly: reverberation, and the fact that everyone can see everyone. A slat acoustic panel with a felt backing takes the edge off the reverberation while still reading as a warm wood wall.
We pair it with aluminum grille ceilings where the services are exposed above, and with slim trims for glass partition edges. For meeting rooms, the acoustic panel is usually specified on two opposing walls rather than all four.
